Innovation is a Mindset, Not a Major: UC’s 1819 Venture Lab linchpin for Uptown workforce development

One mile north of downtown Cincinnati, the area known as the Uptown Innovation Corridor has long represented a convergence of world-class academics, medicine and research. Now, thanks to a partnership between the University of Cincinnati and Procter & Gamble, those sectors and others will join forces via UC’s forthcoming 1819 Innovation Hub.

Five Companies Take Home James A. Wuenker Growth Award for Regional Impact

At its March 21 Annual Meeting, REDI Cincinnati presented Growth Awards to 80 Acres Farms, Ensemble Health Partners, Festo, L3 Technologies, and Magna Machine Company. Combined, these companies created 1,641 new jobs and contributed nearly $150 million in capital investment to the three-state, 16-county Greater Cincinnati region.

TREW, LLC to locate in Southwest Ohio, create 100 new jobs

The company will create over 100 new jobs in executive management, engineering, sales, customer service and other disciplines by December 31, 2021. TREW is a full-service materials-handling solutions provider, serving the warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, and e-commerce industries.
