Remote health testing provider establishes specialized lab in Blue Ash
CINCINNATI – July 21, 2023 – Preventx, a remote sexual health testing provider based in the UK, is opening a specialized lab in Blue Ash, Ohio, through the support of JobsOhio and REDI Cincinnati. The lab will add 17 new jobs to the Cincinnati region over the next three years.

Preventx is entering the U.S. market for the first time, bringing 15 years of experience to address critical gaps in existing testing services. Presently, testing methods in the U.S. rely on in-person clinic visits, which includes barriers for hard-to-reach groups, such as those located significant distances from testing facilities, those uncomfortable visiting a clinic and those with scheduling conflicts. Current strategies also add strain to the public health infrastructure.
The remote testing afforded by Preventx, which can be completed in the privacy of a patient’s house, affords testing to large numbers of individuals without bogging down in-clinic services and allows underserved populations to be reached.
Preventx is Europe’s largest provider of remote sexual health testing, dispatching over 5.5 million STI testing kits and carrying out over 15 million tests through its in-house lab.
