CINCINNATI, OHIO – January 31, 2022 – Cerkl, a Blue Ash, Ohio, company that is modernizing employee relations, will add 125 new jobs and $9.45 million in new payroll over the next three years. The company plans to expand operations across a variety of roles, including marketing, sales, engineering, customer success and more. Cerkl’s expansion, which was aided by JobsOhio, REDI Cincinnati, the City of Blue Ash and the Ohio Department of Development collaborated to bring Cerkl’s expansion to Cincinnati.

“Having founded multiple companies in Ohio, I know there is no better place to build an enterprise software company than right here,” said Tarek Kamil, Cerkl CEO. “To that end, Cerkl has seen unprecedented demand from companies looking for more effective ways to communicate and engage their people. We’re excited to partner with JobsOhio, REDI Cincinnati, and the City of Blue Ash to help us keep up with demand, attract talent and continue to grow in Ohio.”

Cerkl coordinates with businesses to provide personalized communications for a modern workforce through its Broadcast platform, meeting companies’ demands to engage their employees through everyone’s preferred method of communication. Instead of bombarding the workforce with emails, memos and other notifications through multiple digital channels, Broadcast delivers the information through the medium favored by the employee.

COVID-19 and the impact of the pandemic altered traditional business operations, resulting in a hybrid workforce and the need to emphasize employee communication. With Cerkl already uniquely positioned to fill this need, the company has experienced hyper-growth and now requires additional resources across all aspects of the business to meet the demand and expand its impact.

The project is supported by an Ohio Job Creation Tax Credit from the Ohio Department of Development, and JobsOhio plans to provide talent acquisition services for Cerkl. JobsOhio developed the Talent Acquisition Services Program to support talent recruitment strategies which include attraction, marketing, screening and training.

“The City of Blue Ash has invested heavily to create amenities that will help fast-growing IT companies attract the workforce they need,” said Neil Hensley, City of Blue Ash economic development director. “We’re happy to see one of our homegrown IT firms decide to expand in the city and take advantage of those amenities. Cerkl has been a terrific corporate citizen and we look forward to working with them as they continue to grow.”

“It is more important now than ever for employers to modernize how they understand, communicate and engage with their employees,” said Brandon Simmons, REDI Cincinnati vice president of project management. “Changing priorities of a modern workforce, impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic and the continued shift in work environments make this a timely issue. Through the support provided, Cerkl will grow to six times its current size and broaden its reach to help businesses redefine how they think about and interact with their current and future workforce to meet these needs.”
