REDI Cincinnati Recognized as a Top Economic Development Organization by Site Selection Magazine
Site Selection Magazine has awarded REDI Cincinnati with the 2018 Mac Conway Awards for Excellence in Economic Development, and declared REDI Cincinnati as one of the Top 15 economic development organizations in the United States.
Named after the founder of Conway and Site Selection magazine, McKinley “Mac” Conway, the award recognizes the work of outstanding economic development organizations and the important contribution they make to grow their local economies. Less than one percent of economic development organizations in the U.S. are awarded.
“This is the third year in a row that the REDI Cincinnati team has been awarded this prestigious recognition,” said Johnna Reeder, President and CEO of REDI Cincinnati. “We are incredibly proud of the work that our team has put into uniting the Greater Cincinnati region to compete globally with the help of our partners, investors and clients.”
Ohio had the highest concentration of winners by state, with Columbus 2020 (Central Region) and Regional Growth Partnership (Northwest Region) also being named to the list. The Mac Conway Award winners are determined by an index that examines corporate facility investment projects in U.S. metro areas as tracked by Site Selection’s proprietary Conway Projects Database in 2017. Scores are awarded based on six criteria: total projects, total investment associated with those projects and total jobs associated with those projects; and those same three numbers calculated per capita for the metro area.
