Cincinnati Region Leads Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana in Governor’s Cup Rankings for Corporate Growth

CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati region including Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeast Indiana, has once again been named to Site Selection Magazine’s Governor’s Cup rankings, which measures the number of new and expanded corporate facilities per capita in each state and region. This is the Cincinnati region’s 17^th consecutive year being on the list of top ten metros with populations more than one million.

“Companies in the Cincinnati region had a busy year in 2019, fueling growth that continues to outpace the national average,” said Kimm Lauterbach, REDI Cincinnati president and CEO. “To be recognized for 17 consecutive years is a testament to the strength and staying power of our region.”

This year, the region was ranked fifth among major metros in the U.S., maintaining its spot from 2018. The ranking resulted in the Cincinnati region leading all metros of its size in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. In addition, Ohio was ranked first in the U.S. for per capita projects and second for total projects.
