Fourth-generation family-run manufacturer to invest in future growth with support from REDI Cincinnati, JobsOhio and City of Sharonville

Brighton Tru-Edge Craftsman Tank Head

SHARONVILLE, Ohio – January 11, 2022Brighton Tru-Edge, the largest cold-form tank head manufacturer in North America based in Sharonville, Ohio, plans to experience significant growth due in part to support from JobsOhio, REDI Cincinnati and the City of Sharonville, the organizations announced today. The company plans to expand its operations over the next four years with the addition of 20 new jobs and a capital investment commitment of $2 million in equipment and construction, an investment that will likely exceed $5 million.

Brighton Tru-Edge is a fourth-generation, family-run business and has over 100 years of experience in the fabrication sector. Initially founded in 1914 by Alvin Hock to produce copper kettles for the food industry, Brighton Tru-Edge has evolved into a national leader in the manufacturing of tank and vessel heads within the clean energy, cryogenic, chemical, food and beverage, and oil and gas markets. Today, the company is led by Alvin’s great-grandson, Adam Hock.

Brighton Tru-Edge’s capital investment will include the construction of a new 12,500-square-foot building at its Sharonville facility and the adoption of high-definition cutting technologies that will be a significant differentiator for the company within the industry. Brighton Tru-Edge plans to add over 20 full-time positions in engineering, technical labor, material handling and press & flange operation to meet the expanded manufacturing capabilities.

Adam Hock, President of Brighton Tru-Edge, said, “This investment is all about creating opportunities for our people. With this being the only type of technology and equipment in the United States, it will position us to create high-paying shop positions.”

Hock added, “As one of the leaders in the marketplace, it is important to continually innovate. We are always looking to expand our capabilities outside our traditional product offering to provide the highest value to our customers. This investment enables us to add additional services to the 12,000+ units we ship annually. We are grateful for the support from REDI Cincinnati, JobsOhio and the City of Sharonville to help us make this vision a reality.”

Alaina Geres, Sharonville economic development director, commented, “With our access to interstates I-75 and I-275 within our city’s corridors, abundant labor pool of one million workers within an average commute and pro-business climate, it is understandable why businesses such as Brighton Tru-Edge are able to flourish and grow in our community.”

“Brighton Tru-Edge’s continued success and growth in the Cincinnati region is indicative of the success many companies experience here,” said Kevin Donnelly, vice president for project management at REDI Cincinnati. “From our ability to train high-end talent through highly regarded technical schools to our proximity to 60% of the U.S. population, our region is well-positioned for manufacturing companies to succeed. We are proud to support a company that has contributed to our region’s business vibrancy for over 100 years.”

“Ohio-based Brighton True-Edge is leading the way as the largest cold-form tank head manufacturer in North America,” said J.P. Nauseef, JobsOhio president and CEO. “The company’s Sharonville expansion brings 20 high-paying jobs and space for new, cutting-edge technology to keep Brighton True-Edge at the forefront of the industry and differentiate them from the competition.”
