Founded in 1899, the Cincinnati Open is the nation’s longest-running professional tennis tournament played in its city of origin. The world’s top tennis talent from both the ATP and WTA compete in the annual event, held each August. In 2025, the tournament expanded to a two-week competition. The 2024 event had over 205,000 attendees, representing all 50 states and 44 countries.
Derby Day at Churchill Downs is a must-go for anyone who enjoys thoroughbred racing. And Cincinnati has local racing at both Belterrra Park and Turfway Park.
