Curiosity Purchases Historic Building on Central Parkway and Increases Staff
CINCINNATI – September 25, 2023 – Curiosity, a leading independent and nationally recognized advertising agency in the Cincinnati region, announces the relocation of its headquarters and expansion, adding 32 new jobs. The company has purchased an existing property near the historic Over-the-Rhine (OTR) neighborhood, providing capital investment to update and convert the site.
“As a native Cincinnatian and lifelong resident, I couldn’t be more excited and proud to make this beautiful building our new home,” said Trey Harness, President and Partner at Curiosity. “Our culture is our greatest asset, and we strongly believe a sense of place is critical to the health and success of our company culture. More importantly, we believe our city is a special place where some of the world’s most exciting ideas have been born. We want to continue that legacy and be a beacon for creativity in our community.”
Founded in Cincinnati in 2012, Curiosity employs 68 full-time staff, supporting national brands across the U.S. like Native, Brooks Running, Dude Wipes and Holland America Line, as well as hometown companies like AltaFiber, UC Health and Cincinnati Insurance Companies. The new positions include project and account managers, strategy, creative and paid media specialists.
“We are proud to support, in partnership with JobsOhio, a company that started in Cincinnati and is now expanding in Cincinnati,” said Kevin Donnelly, REDI Cincinnati vice president for project management. “Curiosity’s relocation and expansion supports the already existing strong ecosystem of branding and advertising agencies across the region.”
The company’s new site was the former home of Chatfield College on Central Parkway. The historic building sits in the heart of the Central Parkway Project, just across the street from FC Cincinnati’s TQL Stadium. Cincinnati-based SHP will oversee architecture and design for the 16,200 square feet space, including an expanded in-house content production studio.
“Curiosity was founded in Cincinnati just over a decade ago, and the creative agency’s success has built demand for a new headquarters to ensure the company continues to succeed in the region,” said J.P. Nauseef, JobsOhio president and CEO. “The new space allows Curiosity to tap into the ingenuity of the local talent that has been essential in its rise while providing additional opportunities toward future growth.”
The Ohio Department of Development’s Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a tax credit for the project. JobsOhio plans to provide assistance for the project, which will be made after a final agreement is executed.
