Pacific Manufacturing Expands in Fairfield, Ohio, nearing 1,000 Total Jobs

FAIRFIELD, Ohio – December 16, 2024 — Pacific Manufacturing announces a significant expansion in the city of Fairfield by purchasing and doubling the square footage of a new building on its campus. The expansion includes substantial investment in new machinery and equipment to support future growth and innovation and will create 96 new jobs and add $4.7 million in annual payroll to its existing workforce of over 860 employees. Pacific Manufacturing’s presence in southwest Ohio has grown to over 1 million square feet, owned and leased, across five buildings covering 60 acres.

Pacific Manufacturing, with its parent company based in Ogaki City, Japan, has been a part of the Fairfield community since 1990. A global leader and Tier-1 supplier in the automotive industry, the company specializes in producing precision metal and plastic stamping components. Pacific Manufacturing started operations in Fairfield with 50 employees and has undergone several significant expansions. Today, the Ohio campus represents the company’s largest facility outside of Japan and is the second-largest manufacturing enterprise in Fairfield.

Pacific Manufacturing is proud to be a long-standing member of the City of Fairfield’s thriving business community,” said Takashi Nakagawa Ohhashi, general manager of Pacific Manufacturing Ohio. “We are grateful for the continued support from the City of Fairfield Economic Department, REDI Cincinnati and Jobs Ohio, which has been instrumental in supporting this expansion.”

“Pacific’s growth in Fairfield has been phenomenal,” said Mitch Rhodus, Mayor of Fairfield. “We’re excited to see the continued investment in new technologies and related job growth. We thank company leadership in Ohio and Japan for being terrific community partners.”

“For 24 years, Pacific Manufacturing has consistently demonstrated its trust and confidence in Fairfield, Ohio, using its strategic location to access 77% of North American auto production within a one-day drive,” said Kimm Lauterbach, REDI Cincinnati president and CEO. “As a result, through multiple expansions, Pacific Manufacturing now employs a robust workforce of nearly 900 individuals, contributing significantly to the local economy and the global automotive supply chain.”

“A longtime innovator in automotive production and technology space, Pacific Manufacturing is making a significant investment that will grow operations at its Fairfield campus,” said JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef. “Pacific Manufacturing’s decision to choose Ohio for its newest EV components manufacturing expansion strengthens the state’s position as a leading supplier for automakers across the planet.”

The Fairfield City Council approved an incentive package for Pacific Manufacturing’s expansion and investment in the community. In addition, the State of Ohio approved a Job Creation Tax Credit. JobsOhio plans to offer assistance, which will be made public after a final agreement is executed.
