Grieshaber Precision Announces North American Expansion that Increases Sustainability and Promotes Global Growth
54,000 sq ft. manufacturing facility will localize production and reduce environmental footprint
CINCINNATI – September 20, 2024 – Grieshaber Precision, a leading global manufacturer of aluminum and stainless-steel precision-turned parts, is expanding into North America. The company, based in Schiltach, Germany, announced the establishment of Grieshaber Precision America, Inc. on the former site of VEGA Americas, Inc. located in Oakley, a suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. The company will lease about 54,000 square feet for its North American operations in a renovated space that meets the company’s strict business standards and supports its mission of sustainability.
The expansion project enables Grieshaber Precision to domestically produce stainless steel precision parts initially for VEGA Americas, Inc. that are currently imported from the company’s global headquarters.
“This renovation creates a state-of-the-art facility while enhancing our combined sustainability efforts,” said John Groom, President & CEO of Grieshaber Precision America, Inc. and VEGA Americas. “By localizing production, Grieshaber Precision America will significantly reduce CO2 emissions associated with long-distance logistics and, in turn, bolster our combined local manufacturing capabilities, supporting VEGA Americas with enhanced precision production.”
Grieshaber Precision America, Inc. is part of a family of companies with a legacy and tradition focused on detail, community, and precision for its customers. The expansion will initially create 11 new jobs, with plans to expand to 17 within two years to support the company’s growth goals.

In light of this, our department intends to award $50,000 to the Grieshaber Precision project based on associated job and payroll creation to secure this important domestic manufacturing investment.”
