StandardAero announces third expansion in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI – June 2, 2025 – StandardAero, a leading independent provider of aerospace engine aftermarket services including maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), is expanding its operations in Sharonville, Ohio, to nearly 11 acres. This third expansion, in partnership with REDI Cincinnati, JobsOhio and the City of Sharonville, is expected to add 300 new jobs, increasing the total workforce of StandardAero’s Cincinnati facility to over 1,000 employees.
StandardAero’s Sharonville, Ohio, location operates a major aerospace component repair facility specializing in engine component MRO services for both commercial and military aircraft. The new jobs will primarily consist of machinists, parts inspectors and bench operators.
“We are proud to partner with REDI Cincinnati and JobsOhio, and we remain committed to the ongoing growth and development of the Cincinnati aerospace sector,” said Kim Ashmun, president of Component Repair Services (CRS) at StandardAero. “This partnership not only supports the expansion of our operations but also strengthens our ability to invest in our people—our most valuable asset.”

I’m excited about this partnership, as it not only supports our future expansion but also creates new opportunities for our people to grow and thrive.”
“Sharonville’s City Council and I are proud to support this company’s expansion and help facilitate its growth right here in our community. It is an exciting win-win for our business community and our residents,” said Mayor Kevin Hardman.
“StandardAero plays a critical role in Cincinnati’s Aerospace sector, which has a gross regional product of $7.8 billion and supports more than 30,000 workers,” said Kimm Lauterbach, president and CEO of REDI Cincinnati. “The company strengthens a regional network of innovation and manufacturing by partnering with hundreds of Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers—critical links in the supply chain that enhances Cincinnati’s position as a global aerospace leader.”

We are grateful to StandardAero’s continued commitment to our community and the associated job growth that will follow,” said Sharonville Economic Development Director David McCandless.
