JobsOhio Ohio Vibrant Community & Pre-Project Planning
The JobsOhio Vibrant Community and Pre-Project Planning initiatives grant funding to help close the gap on catalytic development projects, fulfilling a market need and represent significant reinvestment in your community. Supported by the community, funding can not exceed 50% of the total project and is intended for distressed communities under 75,000 in population.
JobsOhio Vibrant Community
The JobsOhio Vibrant Community Program is designed to identify and target funding and to assist in the revitalization of downtowns and main streets through targeted investments across Ohio. The program provides construction assistance up to $1M.
30% of committed eligible Anchor Tenants:
- Eligible: Office, coworking, business incubators, business accelerators, research and development spaces, innovation centers, makerspaces, light industrial.
- Eligible as mixed-use: retail, housing, hotel, healthcare, education.
- Ineligible: recreational facilities, streetscaping, parking, sports and entertainment, 100% speculative
JobsOhio Pre-Project Planning
The JobsOhio Pre-Project Planning Program offers targeted technical support to eligible communities that want to pursue the Vibrant Community grant but have gaps getting to implementation.
Pre-project planning provides technical assistance up to $50K. With a focus on eligible projects too early in development for Vibrant Community funding.
Planning scopes included but not limited to:
- Market & Industry Study
- Building Due Diligence
- Development Planning
- Capital Stack Preparation
