Thank you, fellow economic developers!
At REDI, we’re always excited to celebrate economic development, and this week, we get to celebrate with all of our local, regional and state partners.
For the first time, the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) designated this week – May 8 through May 14 – as Economic Development Week. While the IEDC is celebrating 90 years of economic development, this week marks the anniversary of the merger between the National Council for Urban Economic Development (CUED) and the American Economic Development Council (AEDC), which created IEDC.
REDI would like to take this opportunity to say “thank you” to our local, regional and state economic development partners – from the feet-on-the-street economic developers who tirelessly help us find sites and government officials who court prospective companies with us to our network and state partners who join us to sell on a national and international level.
It truly takes a team to achieve this kind of success – and we are glad to be part of yours. I think Henry Ford put it best when he said, “Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success.”
We know you work hard 52 weeks a year to grow our region’s economy, so we say take some time this week to celebrate your wins – you deserve it!
Thank you for putting the “great” in our Greater Cincinnati region.
