University of Kentucky

Wilmington College

  • An independent, co-educational liberal arts college with an enrollment of more than 1,400 students 
  • Offers majors in agricultural production and biology 

Xavier University

  • A Jesuit Catholic university with nearly 7,000 students 
  • Ranked sixth best Midwest university and sixth best college for veterans.  
  • Offers undergraduate degrees with majors in applied chemistry, biology, chemical science and chemistry, environmental science, and land, farming and community 

Community and technical colleges 

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College  

  • A public, two-year college with an enrollment of more than 9,000 students  
  • Provides student-focused, quality technical and general education, academic transfer, experiential and cooperative education, and workforce development 
  • Offers one of the largest cooperative learning programs in the U.S. 
  • Offers degree and certificate programs in dietary management, dietetic technology, sustainable horticulture and sustainable agriculture management 

Sinclair Community College  

  • An urban community college with an enrollment of more 25,000 students 
  • Consistently ranked as one of the top community colleges in the United States 
  • Offers programs in dietetics, chemistry, food service management and nutritional/dietary management
